Shglenda Green loves to help people see that there is another way to life than living with an impoverished mind. She loves to walk people gracefully and lovingly into a state of liberty! She has an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Counseling. In all her ways, the Holy Spirit leads her! She has contributed to two published books, “Shade No More Pain: Released and Set Free” and “God Says I am Battle-Scar Free.” She has a passion for singing and she also loves to go fishing, bowling, and roller-skating.
Dena Gray is the Office Manager and Senior Executive Assistant to the CEO of an audit firm. She is also the owner of Baker Corner Catering. In addition, she is the co-founder of Greater Works Ministries. Dena has served in ministries for over 15 years; she is passionate about empowering women from all walks of life. Dena’s mission is to help women break free of brokenness while cultivating a relationship with Jesus, an understanding of self-love and healthy relationships. Dena has been married to Bishop Shon Gray for 17 years and has a 4-year-old son.
Deborah Young works with different women from all around the world who feel stuck spiritually, emotionally, mentally, physically, and financially. Her goal is to help women become the best version of themselves so they can thrive in every area of their life. Aside from being in love with Jesus, Deborah is a serial entrepreneur, published author, and an international speaker who specializes in helping women gain confidence, and embody excellence while recognizing their Purpose, value, and strength.
Having overcome low self-esteem, a physically abusive marriage, financial debt, an impoverished mindset, brokenness, and homelessness I’ve helped various women move past unfortunate circumstances. As the Co-Founder of G.E.M.S and CEO of The Women’s Empowerment Exchange, her expertise lies in training women how to go from victim to Victor. Deborah enjoys teaching and showing women how they can become empowered and start living a transformational and exuberant lifestyle.
Adiroa Lewis was brown and raised in Houston, TX. She is a compassionate woman of God who loves to assist others. She loves to praise dance and is very passionate about helping children. Adiroa is a woman you can count on when anyone feels like they have no one else to talk to. She is empathetic and has the gift of encouragement. She is non-judgmental with a heart to love as Christ loves. She is loved and supported by her 3 children and fiancé.
Sasha Scott has a heart for spending quality time with her loved ones and nurtures that gift by creating the spaces and places for Turning Point Homes’ get-togethers and groups. She has a passion for making sure all events go smoothly. Her goal is that everyone involved has a good time in fellowship. She is multi-talented: She has perfected her techniques in hair-braiding and cosmetology. She also trained praise dance teams for churches and events. Sasha’s love for animals is whole-hearted, and she loves training dogs and spending time with pets. Her favorite verse is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
Brittany Cole plays an active role in the healing of women, youth and the society at large. She is committed to addressing issues that affect women’s welfare by helping them dismantle limiting beliefs and address common concerns as it pertains to mental wellness and happiness. She ignites thoughts and reshapes minds to awaken healthy perceptions of womanhood and strengthen relationships so that all women can blossom into a woman with a mindset that embraces self-love, joy and peace.
With her passion to serve by evaluating the need and providing extraordinary service, she desires to share those skills with others.
Turning Point Homes for Women & Families strives to provide services that focus on the whole holistic person: physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. With this in mind, the resident embarks on a journey of healing, transformation, education, and preparation. Services are focused on ultimately helping every resident shift their mindsets from a state of poverty to liberty in Christ.
